Robert Kost

Mr. Kost is a Managing Director and leads the firm’s restructuring advisory efforts.  Prior to joining Gleacher Partners in 2007, Mr. Kost was a Managing Director at Lazard in its financial restructuring group, focusing on corporate restructurings and distressed merger & acquisition transactions.  Prior to joining Lazard in 1999, Mr. Kost was a Director at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown in its restructuring group.  He began his career at the Chase Manhattan Bank in 1986 and held various positions in the merchant banking and restructuring groups.  Mr. Kost’s restructuring clients have included, among others, WorldCom/MCI, Owens Corning, Collins & Aikman, Budget Rent-A-Car, Republic Steel and American Pad & Paper.  Mr. Kost received an MBA degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
